Japan and its Fruit-Shaped Bus Stops

Extra Extra, Read All About It!

There are times in our lives when we look at something, stop, and are forced to ask ourselves: what the shit?! This is one of those moments.

Architects and designers of a small town Konagai, Nagasaki (Japan) were recently inspired by the tale of Cinderella. Giant pumpkins aside, these artistes decided to renovate the town’s old bus stops in a new way – they have all been remodelled as fruit. If only that was the main issue; some of the fruit cannot even be identified by the locals.

Konagai is now the proud homeland for these 16 fruit-shaped bus stops. No wait, fruit stops.
